You Have to Start Somewhere!

It has taken me over 2 years but I’ve finally found the courage to start my blog! I have been procrastinating since I turned 52 to begin blogging, well now I’m 54….so what’s the problem??? Like so many other people, I found myself bound by fear of the unknown. I had been plagued by the what ifs!!!! What if……no one likes my blog? What if……I don’t know what to say? What if…..this? What if……that? I applaud people, young and old, that are willing to walk boldly in whatever it is they want to do. So although I am not completely versed in social media I will be working it out all along the way. My posts will mainly feature fashion, interior design and performing arts. Like many, many other women I love clothes and shoes!!! However, I do not follow trends. I am a true believer in doing your own thing in your own way. So I don’t keep up with celebrities or with what’s trending on social media. I thrive off of everyday people that dare to be themselves through fashion, home décor, poetry or whatever.

I must say that I do have a penchant for high quality. I love items (clothing or furnishings) that are well made and hold their value. As I have matured, my eye for the finer things in life has sharpened 🙂 But don’t get it twisted, that doesn’t mean I own all these fine things, lol. However, I do try to buy the best I can afford. I shop from the bottom to the top! That means thrift stores, estate sales, sales at high end department stores, end of season sales at specialty boutiques etc. Literally, anywhere and everywhere! Most of all, I have fun and enjoy the adventure.
